Corrie Wilder did an awesome job explaining how/why she created her startup/product “Grippies” GrippiesOnline.com. Corrie & her partner Yelena Mogelefsky met on a train, discussed ideas, and now they are business partners with a product launched around the world.

Corrie says startups must, “remember that success is not all financial”, “ask for help”, “know your market”, “keep motivated”, and “come out of their comfort zone”. Corrie shares her experience from patent to prototype to manufacturing. >>>Watch NOW :)

Corrie Wilder and Yelena Mogelefsky are two moms who bonded on our daily commute on the Long Island Railroad, sharing stories about our kids and of course swapping information about kids clothing. We noticed that not all of our kids’ socks had non-skid bottoms and none of the girls’ tights had them. Without the sticky “grippie bottoms” on their socks and tights, there was no way to avoid our kids slipping and falling on our wood and tile floors.

As moms, we were seeking a product made specifically to make regular tights and socks non-skid. We couldn’t find it anywhere. We decided there must be other moms out there looking for this product too.

What do parents do when we can’t find what we need? We make it ourselves!

Thanks for visiting, and thanks for trying GRiPPiES!
